The beauty of Vietnamese culture was reflected by Ao dai
Almost 100 models of the traditional long dress (ao dai) by fashion designer Pham Quoc Tuan are at the fair in the Museum of Vietnamese women in Hanoi from October 18 to 20,as a part of the activities of the Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20) for marking.
With Clinging upper with body and two loose flaps falling, the ao dai helps promote the beauty and femininity of the Vietnamese woman. This costume is also used as clothing for the office, school or formal occasions.
In addition to enjoying a variety of colors of robes, visitors have the opportunity to better understand the evolution of this classic dress over time received.
The collection is designed with the Lotus – the main theme combined with traditional decoratives motifs of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups, Chinese and Japanese painting – nominated as the national flower of Vietnam.
Tuan said the collection is a combination of traditional culture and modern, and shows new features but no lose Vietnamese cultural identity.
